The best Cookie Recipes for Winter

      Looking for recipes on how to make the best cookies for Christmas? What comes to mind when finding the best recipes? Here are some recipes on how to make the tastiest, home made cookies this holiday season. 

 

Chocolate Chip Cookies

First, add a ½ cup of brown sugar + 1 cup of sugar. Next, add 2 sticks of melted salted butter, mix it till creamy.

Then, add 2 eggs + 2 tablespoons of vanilla mixed in till just combined. After, add 3 cups of flour + 1 tablespoon of baking soda + ½ tablespoon of salt.

Next, add 2 cups of chocolate chips.

Finally, put it into the 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.

When you take the cookies out of the oven, it will come out pale, so let the cookies sit for 30 minutes. When the 30 minutes are up, enjoy your delicious chocolate chip cookies!

 

Winter Sugar Cookies

Step 1, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.

Step 3, add the egg and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

Step 4, in a separate bowl sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.

Step 5, add the flour to the butter mixture, 1 cupful at a time, until fully blended.

Step 6, press the dough into a ball.

Step 7, place the ball of dough onto a piece of parchment paper, then using a rolling pin roll out the dough to a 1/4 inch thickness.

Step 8, using cookie cutters cut out different shapes and place them onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

Step 9, bake for 10 minutes if the cookies are medium sized. If you are making small cookies you will need to bake them for less time (about 8 minutes).

Step 10, let cool on a rack.

Step 11, once the cookies are fully cooled, ice them as you wish!

Here’s how to make the icing.

Step 1, in a small bowl, mix together the icing sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth.

Step 2, then mix in the corn syrup until the icing is smooth.

Step 3, Add food coloring in the color of your choice and mix well.

Step 4, using a piping bag, have fun decorating your sugar cookies!

Tip: If you don’t have a piping bag, you can also use a zip lock bag with the corner snipped off. TIP: if the icing is too thick, you may need to add a little more corn syrup or milk…add small amounts at a time until you get the consistency you desire. Just remember you need it to be thick enough to pipe on to the cookies.

Sunny Day Snowman Cookies

Step 1, heat oven to 375°F.

Step 2, beat sugar, butter and brown sugar in bowl at medium speed until well mixed. Add eggs, cream of tartar and vanilla, beating until well mixed. Add flour, baking soda and salt; beat at low speed until well mixed.

Step 3, shape dough into 24 balls. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Step 4, bake 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to cooling rack. Cool completely.

Step 5, melt candy coating according to package directions.

Step 6, make 1 snowman at a time, spreading 1 tablespoon melted candy coating in the center of the cookie to resemble melting snow. Place marshmallow onto the cookie for the head. Decorate as desired, adding face, scarf, buttons, arms, etc., using candy coating to attach, if necessary. Repeat with remaining cookies and decorations. Reheat candy coating, if necessary.
