June 5th. Graduation day. You’re surrounded by all of your peers with the adrenaline that you have wrapped up your 4 years of hard work. Should you top it off by going to the All Night Grad Party? Seniors and Hayfield alumni recommend participating in the experience to finish off high school with good memories and strong bonds.
The All Night Grad Party (ANGP) is a graduation event for seniors located at St. James. The ANGP provides food, drinks, games, and a huge facility filled with endless opportunities, keeping you up all night.
“You’re not only paying for all the equipment but also paying for the ability to be able to experience that with other people. You get so much for such a little price,” senior Lucy Freeland said.
Robert Schoennauer finds that the ANGP was an amazing way to cap off the year. He enjoyed playing flag football and soccer with friends. He also felt like there was an “unlimited” amount of food.
“I think that the St. James is the best place to do it. It has opportunities for everyone to do something, whether you want to play sports, video games, sit and talk with your friend on the field, at tables or compete for prizes,” Schoennauer said.
Seniors often plan to attend or host graduation parties, however, this can be hard to prepare for.
“My mom wants me to have a grad party but I’m not sure how we are going to do that, but I don’t really know how else I would celebrate with my friends. I think [the ANGP is] a pretty good option, especially since I won a ticket through a senior photo raffle that they did over the summer,” senior Katerina Floros said.
Last year’s ANGP, in June of 2024, roughly 170 people attended. This year, around 280 seniors are already signed up. This goes to prove it will be a night to remember!
