The National football league is the most watched football league in America. But not a lot of fans know about what goes on in free agency. What is Free agency? Free agency is where a lot of  players move to different teams when their contract runs out but it’s not as easy as it looks. It’s also an opportunity for players who are still on their contract to request a trade.

Jalen Ramsey has been a dominant cornerback ever since he joined the league he is also familiar with free agency. He was drafted in 2016 to the Jacksonville Jaguars but in 2019 he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams and led them to a super bowl. But fast forward to 2023, he was in trade talks again and ended up coming to Miami, Florida to play for the Dolphins. Jalen also played college football for Florida State University.

The 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson has had an unexpected 2023 Free Agency. Lamar Jackson has been one of the most influential players in the league because of his explosive play style which is very impressive especially for a quarterback. I’m sure almost every team would love to have him so why hasn’t he been signed 1 and a half weeks into Free Agency? The Baltimore Ravens have given Lamar a non exclusive franchise tag but what does that mean? If any team wants to give Lamar a contract the Ravens have five days to match that contract, and if they do, the Ravens automatically get Lamar if they don’t match the other team. But the problem is the team can’t sign any other quarterbacks in those five days and if the ravens end up matching and in those five days every other quarterback can get signed to other teams so it’s a risk or a reward. But if no one gives Lamar a contract he will play one year for 32 million dollars.

The NFL free agency is very confusing but fun to see your favorite players moving to different cities and players for different teams. If you want to see all the signings you want to see all the signings you can go on Instagram and type in “NFL”.
