Café Review of Château de Chantilly

Château de Chantilly has been gaining a lot of attention and I can now say with 100% certainty that it is well deserved. When first entering the café on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn’t hard to notice how incredibly busy it was. The line to checkout was from the front to the back of the building. Although it was overwhelmingly busy inside, the atmosphere and lighting made the place feel calm. The café felt straight out of a 90’s romantic comedy with people grabbing pastries and coffees while others sat, studying and chatting.

While doing research on the café, the thing that popped out to me was the incredible size and appeal of the pastries. Most places I have been to have perfect pastries online but once in person, you see the many flaws that weren’t originally advertised. Château de Chantilly, on the other hand, had the pastries I had been excitedly expecting for both looks as well as taste. Many items I found in the display cases were names I had never heard of before. Château de Chantilly does not in fact have regular food, but I enjoyed the pastries and sweets that were sold for a nice light meal.

Although coffee and pastries are both important aspects of the draws to going to a café, I as well love the atmosphere. Cafés normally have a calming atmosphere that holds a strong appeal. When I want to get pastries and sip on my coffee, I think of warm lighting, couches, greenery, and quiet. While Château de Chantilly certainly was not quiet or calming in the slightest due to the amount of business, the scenery was perfectly chosen. I immediately sensed the café feel as if it were radiating off of the place. Château de Chantilly is a must go for all.
